1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account or using HelperHive (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. What HelperHive is — and is not
HelperHive is a marketplace that helps employers and household helpers (cleaning, cooking, childcare, elderly care, pet care, and similar services) find each other. HelperHive is not an employer, employment agency, or party to any agreement between users. We do not employ, supervise, or pay any helper listed on the App. All work arrangements — including scope, schedule, pay, and conditions — are agreed directly between the employer and the helper.
3. No vetting or background checks
HelperHive does not verify the identity, background, qualifications, or references of any user, and profile information (including reviews and ratings) is provided by users themselves. You are solely responsible for exercising your own judgment and due diligence before hiring, accepting work, or meeting anyone. We strongly recommend meeting first in a public place, verifying identity documents yourself, and involving a trusted person in your decision.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use HelperHive. By using the App you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally capable of entering into agreements.
5. Your account
You sign in with a Google or Facebook account. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure and for all activity under your HelperHive account. All information you provide must be accurate and truthful. One person may not operate multiple accounts or impersonate another person.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the App for any unlawful purpose, including work arrangements that violate Philippine labor, immigration, or child-protection laws; (b) harass, threaten, deceive, or discriminate against other users; (c) post false, misleading, or defamatory information, including fake reviews; (d) use the App to send spam, advertisements, or scams; (e) collect other users' data; or (f) attempt to interfere with the App's operation or security.
7. Messages, reviews, and other content
You are responsible for the content you post (profile details, messages, reviews, reports). By posting it you grant HelperHive a non-exclusive license to store and display it as needed to operate the App. We may remove content that violates these Terms. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience; employers may review a helper only once.
8. Reporting and blocking
Every chat includes tools to report or block another user. We review reports and may warn, suspend, or permanently remove accounts at our discretion. Blocking prevents further messages from the blocked user.
9. Fees and advertising
HelperHive is currently free to use. The App displays third-party advertisements (Google AdMob), which fund the service. We may introduce paid features in the future; if so, they will be clearly marked and optional.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, harm other users, or abuse the platform.
11. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HelperHive is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from interactions or arrangements between users, including work performed or payment for it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Philippine law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version, with its date, is always shown in the App. Material changes will be flagged in the App; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes shall be brought before the competent courts of the Philippines.
