Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app fastest
- Open the HelperHive app and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom right).
- Tap Privacy & Security.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when asked. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it
If you can no longer sign in, email helperhivesupport@gmail.com from the email address you used to sign in, with the subject “Delete my account”.
We verify that the request comes from the account owner, then delete the account. We aim to complete requests within 30 days.
Delete only some of your data
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove specific information.
In the app, at any time
- Edit or clear your profile photo, bio, skills, rate and availability from Profile → Edit Profile.
- Delete a job post you created from the post's own screen.
- Turn off analytics and crash reporting under Profile → Privacy & Security.
By request
For anything else — for example a review you wrote, or a message you sent — email helperhivesupport@gmail.com from the address you signed in with and tell us what you would like removed. Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, and we action these requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
All of the following are erased permanently, so we can no longer identify you:
- Your name, email address and profile photo
- Your city and your role (employer or helper)
- Your helper profile — skills, daily rate, availability, schedule and bio
- Your list of blocked users
- The device tokens used to send you notifications
- Your sign-in account itself
What is kept, and why
Some content cannot simply be erased because it also belongs to someone else — a conversation is the other person's history too. Wherever that applies we remove your identity instead: your name is replaced with “Deleted user”, and no email address or photo is ever retained.
- Job posts you created are hidden from the app and your name replaced with “Deleted user”.
- Conversations you took part in remain in the other person's chat history, showing you as “Deleted user”.
- Reviews you wrote are retained so the other person's rating stays accurate. They keep only a display name.
- Applications you sent to other people's job posts remain visible to that employer, and notifications generated by your past activity may remain for the recipient — both keep a display name only.
- We may retain limited records where the law requires it, or to prevent fraud and abuse.
If you would like any of the retained items above removed as well, email us and we will remove them manually.
Retention period
There is no additional retention period for the data listed under “What is deleted” — it is removed at the moment you confirm. The limited items listed under “What is kept” are retained for as long as the other user's account or our legal obligations require.
